Yesterday May 29 2025, I had the privilege of receiving, in my office, a beautiful award of recognition presented by the Association des Femmes Nyansapo (AFN), following the 1st edition of the Women’s Day Dinner and Awards Night held on March 8, 2025, in Paris, France.
Being honoured among such powerful, inspiring, and dedicated women leaders from across Africa and the diaspora is a moment I will carry with me forever. As the CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC) and Deputy National Women’s Organizer of NDC, this award is not just a personal achievement, it is a recognition of the collective work we do every day to empower women, uplift communities, and champion inclusive development.

“Accélérer l’action pour progresser vers la parité des genres” thus Accelerating Action Toward Gender Parity.
It was a moment of reflection, a call to action, and a reminder that when women rise, families, communities, and nations rise with us. I dedicate this award to the countless Ghanaian women, especially in rural and underserved areas, who continue to show strength, grace, and resilience despite the odds.
Sharing the forum with these extraordinary minds and leaders including:
Ohene Yere Gifty Anti, CEO of GDA Media.
Hon. Ras Mubarak, former Member of Parliament.
Dr. Vida Anim-Wiafe, educator and founder of Eduvision.
And many more remarkable voices from France, the UK, and Switzerland was truly inspiring

Special appreciation goes to the founder of and President of AFN Mary Asante and secretary Gifty Kumi whose tireless leadership continues to bridge communities across continents.
This recognition only deepens my resolve to:
Expand support for women-led MSMEs through MASLOC
Intensify grassroots political education and engagement among women and
Champion policies that place women at the centre of national development
Let’s continue building the future together.
#EmpoweringGhana

The award which I was supposed to pick up in Paris on 8th March 2025, is to acknowledge my “outstanding leadership and dedication to women’s rights and empowerment”.
All Glory to God.

All Glory to God.
It’s been a long journey. We have chalked some milestones but we still have a lot to do.

As I reflect on the journey that began a year ago, I’m reminded of the spark that ignited the idea for L’Association des Femmes Nyansapo (Nyansapo Women Association) when I arrived in France years ago. My survey revealed opportunities to make a meaningful impact as a fellow woman.
